EXTENSION OF SALE OF DISPOSAL OF DAMAGED, OBSOLETE AND/OR UNSERVICEABLE ASSETS OF THE PAN AFRICAN POSTAL UNION
The General Secretariat of the Pan African Postal Union (PAPU) hereby informs the general public about the extension of the period for the sale of DAMAGED, OBSOLETE AND/OR UNSERVICEABLE ASSETS from 17th September to 17th October 2018, as indicated in Annex ‘A’. These assets are sold on ‘as is’, ‘where is’ basis and the Union will have no further liability after sale.
The Union therefore, invites sealed bids for the purchase of these assets from interested persons/Organization. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the Union’s guidelines for disposal of damaged, obsolete and/or unserviceable assets and is open to both staff of the Union and members of the public.
Interested bidders will be required to pay an unrefundable sum of TZS 10,000 for each bid and may inspect the assets at the address below on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 3:00pm to 5:00pm from 18th September to 17th October 2018.
Those who previously submitted bids are free to re-submit additional bids up to the day of the public opening of the sealed bids. Where it is desired to tender a new bid, the person who tendered can withdraw the previous one and submit another one by applying through the Chairman of the Board of Survey.

Bids must be delivered in the format as indicated in Annex ‘B’ to the above address not later than Thursday 18th October 2018 at 11:00am. Late bids shall be rejected. All the sealed bidding envelopes will be opened in the presence of the bidders or their representatives who choose to attend at the address indicated above on Thursday 18th, October 2018 at 11:30am. Only bids that are of the same value or higher than the reserve price of the asset may be considered.
